Truth
There is a seductive simplicity of wide-open spaces that encourages a creative mind to ponder. Raised on the Plains of the Texas Panhandle, Courtney Ellzey was inspired at a young age by the creative influences of her grandfather's architecture and custom homes, her mother's eye for interior design and her second cousin, Bill Ellzey, who is a photographer. With plenty of room for her creative mind to wander, Courtney used the family Polaroid camera to capture the allure of her rustic backdrop.
The precocious eyes that once took snapshots of perfect imperfection now seek to magnify facets of realness in the ethereal. To Courtney, photography is not merely an art-form, it is an expression of self-discovery. Through her lens is found an illusive depth that, much like the roaming Plains of her youth, urges one's mind to wander beyond the image at hand and contemplate it's conservator and the soul therein.
